Please print a new How to Host packet for any courses to be held in 2013.
New for 2013 – Any facility hosting an AHA Education Course must be an AHA Facility Level Member.
Step One: Once the requirements have been reviewed, the proposed host facility should contact and contract with an AHA Faculty member.
Step Two: Once a date and schedule exist, please contact the AHA office via email to reserve the faculty member/dates and submit the application to host for the course. Advertising brochures and facility insurances, are required to be received back at the AHA offices within five working days. INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: AHA Education course hosting facilities MUST provide insurance naming AHA as an additional insured with respects to the course event – for those specific course dates. Typically, an additional $35 – $50 fee will be required by your insurer to make this addition, which will then be in effect for the event and subsequent AHA events for the term of the policy. At this time, please contact the AHA office via phone, 877-851-4592, or via email at info@americanhippotherapyassociation.org if you need additional information regarding these changes.
Several policy changes are being rolled out for courses in 2013. Please review your How to Host packet carefully and contact the AHA office if you have any questions. Please note for ALL courses, only paid attendees will receive certificates of course completion.
